He was born in Rome but lives in Tavullia, an area of a huge motorcyclist tradition. He achieved his biggest sporting success by winning the Superstock title. After racing as a guest in San Marino in 2013 and competing in the last two events of the season, in 2014 he participated in his first full season in the Moto2TM World Championship.

Morbidelli raced again in 2015, in which was to be his second full season, but a fracture of tibia and fibula that took place training after the Czech Grand Prix took him out of the competition for four races. Finally, Morbidelli finished on the ninth position, with 90 points and one podium. In 2016, Morbidelli joined Estrella Galicia 0,0-Marc VDS team, aiming to fight for the first positions of Moto2. He finished a great season, scoring eight podiums -5 of them in the last 5 races- although he couldn’t manage to achieve his first World Cup victory.

In 2017 the Italian-Brazilian became the world champion of his category during the Malaysian GP, what allowed him to ascend to MotoGP with our team in 2018.
