Choosing the number 33 was not a random choice for Bastianini. He always uses this number because he was three years and three months old when he first rode on a motorcycle. His sporting career has been dazzling. He competed first in the MiniGP Italian Championship; he won the NSF250R Honda Trophy and participated in the 2013 Rookies Cup, where he scored two victories. At the same time, he rode five times in the Italian National Championship of Moto3. Bastianini participated at the World Championship in Moto3 in 2014, just with the minimum age to be able to compete. He achieved three podiums and a respectable ninth position in the general score. In 2015, this young rider reaches a new level by achieving a victory and a total of six podiums.

In the second half of the season, he even had options for the title, and finished third in the general score. In 2016, he stepped on the podium in the Grand Prix of Japan and after a very regular season, he won the world championship runner-up.

2017 may be the year when he wins the title of world champion. This season, this young pilot joins the team Estrella Galicia 0,0 with the illusion of fulfilling his dream.
