Alex Rins started riding at just six years old. He entered the Moto3 World Championship in 2012 with Team Estrella Galicia 0.0 and showed flashes of his talent as early as his second GP in Jerez, where he claimed the pole position. In Le Mans, under tough conditions, he confirmed his potential by securing his first world podium after starting from 26th. He finished the season 4th, also claiming the Rookie of the Year award.
In 2013, he took six wins and five podiums, fighting for the title until the last corner of the last race, where he was overtaken by Viñales. In 2014, he finished third in the Moto3 World Championship.
In 2015, he moved to Moto2, finishing second and earning Rookie of the Year with two wins, ten podiums, and three poles.
In 2017, he made his MotoGP debut with Suzuki and began showcasing his talent, battling with the frontrunners. In 2019, in the third race of the championship, he secured his first victory in the premier category. And, in the 2020 season, a great year for Alex, he added four podiums and finished third in the MotoGP World Championship.
After a 2021 season that didn’t meet his expectations, he bounced back in 2022 and climbed to the podium four times, with wins at the Australian and Valencia GPs.
In 2023, he switched to LCR Honda and after claiming a stunning win in Austin, an injury forced him to miss a total of thirteen races.
In 2024, riding for Monster Energy Yamaha, he also failed to achieve favourable results, finishing eighteenth in the Championship.
